Roy C. Volker

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. Volker, Roy, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at the age of 83. Dearest husband of Margaret Volker; devoted father of Deborah (Mike) Davis, Cynthia Bumb, Laureen (Ritch) Edelstein and Angela Volker; loving grandfather of Greg, Tricia, Andrea, Joey, Sara, Jenna, Liza, Lexi and Sophie; loving great-grandfather of Shaylin, Hunter, Isabella and Aiden. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clark and Rhoda Volker; sister, Rhoda Mae Chilton and his infant brother. Roy worked for Capitol Records for 23 years, after which he owned Search Electronics for 11 years. A nationally renowned treasure hunter/diver, Roy was the founder of the Midwest Coinshooters Club. Roy authored two books, "Treasure Under Your Feet" and "In the Wake of the Golden Galleons". He was a professional boxer and a veteran of WWII. Roy was loved, admired and will be missed by all.
