Roy E. Hillmann

January 5, 1935 — March 4, 2021

Roy E. Hillmann, of Saint Charles, MO, succumbed to Parkinson’s Disease on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of 64 wonderful years to Carol Hillmann (nee Schroeder); cherished son of the late Raymond and Doris Hillmann. Devoted father of Bonnie (Mike) Rich, Beth (Mark) Temple, Sarah (Brad) Young, and the late Mike Hillmann, and the late Mark (wife Diane survives ) Hillmann; loving grandfather of Nick Hillmann, Michelle (Gabe) Monroe, Lindsey (Josh) Boeckmann, Corinne (Jeremy) Allison, Conner Rich, Jessie (Taylor) Oliver, Jake (Tosha) Reiter, Chad (Heather) Temple, Caroline (T.J.) Reily, Marcus Temple, Parker Young, and Lauren Young; treasured great-grandfather of Julian, Jordan, Jackson, Dillon, Dakoda, Warren, Wade, Stella, Peyton, Easton, Kinsley, Ryatt, and Silas; dear brother of Esther Huse and the late Ray Hillmann.

Roy started his journey in life when he dropped out of high school and became a dump truck driver and ready-mix driver for 10 years. He then became a fireman for 10 years at Community Fire Department in St. Louis County, after which he started his own business as a concrete contractor. This led to a lengthy career in the construction business with his wife and son Mark for 25 years. Roy loved to tell a good joke, and his hobbies included hunting and singing with The Ambassadors of Harmony Barbershop chorus which he dearly loved but lost his voice to Parkinson’s. Roy was always a generous and positive person, encouraging family and friends to pursue their dreams and have a good work ethic. He was very instrumental in helping a lot of people get started in their own businesses.

In addition to his membership in the Ambassadors of Harmony, Roy was also an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, and a charter member of the St. Peters Rotary.

Roy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorial contributions may be made in Roy's honor to the Our Savior Lutheran Church Lands and Ground Fund, The Ambassadors of Harmony, or to the Parkinson's Foundation.
