Roy Dudley Huett, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Monday, February 21, 2022 at the age of 89. Loving husband of Judy Huett; beloved son of the late Boyd Huett and Thelma Dudley; devoted father of Janell (Todd) Santo, Jeanna (Ed) Allstun, Becca (Mike) Maurer, and Tim (Linda) Kelly; cherished grandfather of Neal (Elizabeth) Santo, Tara (Larry) Ficken, Bailey Allstun, Colin (Brooke) Allstun, Allyson Maurer, Nick (Kirsten) Maurer, Hayley Maurer, Solea (Josh) Angus, Shane (Maria) Kelly, Samantha (Leon) Ebert, and Seth Kelly; treasured great-grandfather of Nora, Lela, Monica, Emil, Alesja, and Judy; dear brother of Boyd (Elaine) Huett, Jr. and the late Betty Jean Ezell.
Roy proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was born in El Dorado, Kansas but grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. Roy was very athletic, he loved to play basketball. He was an outdoorsman and loved to take his family hunting, fishing, and cave spelunking. Roy believed that Pride and Perfection were the same thing. He had a love for science fiction. Roy also liked a challenge and enjoyed putting together puzzles and playing dominoes. Roy enjoyed a long career as a Systems Programmer, most notably with McDonnell-Douglas. Above all else, Roy was a family man and had a very positive outlook on life. Roy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in Roy's name to the Senior group at First Baptist Church.
