Roy J. Cox

Cox, Roy, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at the age of 83. Devoted husband of Betty Cox; dear son of the late Robert Roy and the late Fleeta Mae Cox; loving father of Brenda Sue (Tony) Lewis, Raymond Jay (Jody) Cox, and Roy Kevin Cox; cherished grandfather of 7; dear brother of LouAnn Purvis and Cherry Lynn Burnitt. He was the owner and operator of Roy Cox Plumbing and Heating and the City Club Tavern in St. Charles, Missouri. He was a member of the St. Charles Kiwanis Club, Plumbing Contractors Association, and the St. Charles American Legion Post 312. Roy served in the Merchant Marines during WWII. Memorials may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of St. Charles or the American Cancer Society.
