Beloved husband and best friend of Susan E. Burns; loving father of Kelly Richard (Paul), Jessica Yeargain, Erin Polman (Jeremy) and Roy H. Burns; dear son of Jessie Burns and the late James Burns; dear brother of Gene Barrett, Connie Martin (Jesse), Vince Burns (Debby) and Robert Burns (Dale); grandfather of 9. Mr. Burns was hired as Vice President March 1976 of Missouri Petroleum Products Co. He was President of Pace Construction Company since 1981 and President and CEO of Lionmark Construction Companies since 1999. Hee was a member of the Associated General Constractors of Missouri, 1996 President of Associated General Constractors, served on the Board of Directors more than 15 years, was elected National Director of AGC of America since 1998, served as Trustee on the Construction Industry Laborers Health & Welfare Fund, was a member of the Missouri Transporatation Coalition, Chairman of the AGC Negotiating Committee since 1996, served as Chairman AGC Legislative Committee 1999-2004 and served as Chairman of the AGC of Missouri Headquarters Building Committee. He also served on the Advisory Board of Directors for UMB Bank, served on the Advisory Board of Directors for Liberty Mutual Insurance and served as Founding Board Member of Missouri Asphalt Paving Association (MAPA).
