Roy Lee Freeman

Memorials may be made to Missouri Council of the Blind. Roy Lee Freeman, Jr., of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at the age of 76. Loving husband of Edna E. Freeman; dear son of the late Roy L. Freeman, Sr. and Anna Freeman; devoted father of Mitchel L. (Lisa) Freeman and Patrick J. (Pamela) Freeman; dear brother of Alberta Jenkens and Florence Freeman; cherished grandfather of Nathaniel, Shaun, Jessica, Samantha, Charlene and Zane; dear brother-in-law of Phyllis Freeman; also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother Kenneth Freeman and two sisters, Edna and Elizabeth Freeman. Roy retired from Union Electric after 38 years and was a U.S. Army and Navy veteran. Roy also was a member of the St. Charles Council of the Blind and Missouri Council of the Blind, VFW Post 2866, Boy Scouts of America, served as a Special Sheriffs Deputy of St. Charles County Sheriffs Department and also the St. Charles City Police and Fire Board.
