Niewald, Royce W., of O'Fallon, Missouri, died on Friday, November 8, 2013 at the age of 82. Loving husband of Shirley Mae Niewald (nee: Kosten); beloved son of the late Walter and Minnie Niewald; devoted father of Joyce Alice Niewald and Paul Walter (Jean) Niewald; cherished grandfather of Nathan Walter Niewald and Matthew Paul Niewald. He is preceded in death by his siblings Clifford John Niewald, Joanne Marilyn Mundt, and Betty Jean Niewald.
Royce retired from Boeing as a Production Scheduler after 38 years of service. He was a treasurer, an elder, a member of the Board of Directors and the Board of Education for Ebenezer Lutheran Church and River Roads Lutheran School. He truly loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed gardening, especially growing tomatoes.
In lieu of flowers memorials made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or LSS Hospice Care.
