Memorials may be made to Chapel of the Cross Lutheran Church. Heermann, Ruben M., of St. Peters, Missouri, died on Monday, March 30, 2009 at the age of 87. Dear husband of the late Barbara Heermann, dear son of the late Frank and Anna Heermann (Hoegemeyer), loving father of Ann (Bill) Cox, Jean (Jim) Nelson and Kent (Jodi) Heermann, loving grandfather of eight and five great-grandchildren and dearest uncle to Lorna Peck. He is preceded in death by 3 brothers and 6 sisters. He was retired after 30 plus years of employment in Agriculture Research at USDA. He was a member of the Peoria Rotary Club and the Farm House Fraternity. During WWII he served in the Super 6th Armored Division. He earned his BS and MS from the University of Nebraska and his PhD from the University of Minnesota
