Ruby E. Miller Scott

Ruby E. Miller Scott (nee Gwaltney), age 100, of St. Charles passed away on January 28, 2022, at Windsor Estates of St. Charles. She was born January 23, 1922, in Walpole, Hamilton County, Illinois.
She was a housekeeper and assistant at the Respite Care home in St. Charles for many years before retirement, a 64-year member of the First Baptist Church of St. Charles, a member of Eastern Star, a former member of Parents Without Partners, and an avid bowler.
She is survived by two sons, David L. and Dennis W. Miller, both of St. Charles; one nephew, John Gwaltney of Edmundson, Missouri; and two nieces, Karen Roberds of Dekalb, Illinois, and Donna Wiggins of Plainfield, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Leslie Miller; her parents, Ellis Harley and Mary Gwaltney (nee Russell); two brothers, James and Claudis Gwaltney; a sister, Lula Hughes (nee Gwaltney); and a half-brother, Ellis Gwaltney.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of St. Charles.
