Russell Dean Leedom, 74, of St. Peters, Mo., and formerly of Green City, Mo., died Friday, September 11, 2009, at his home in St. Peters. The son of Harry and Marie (Akers) Leedom, he was born September 29, 1934, in Green City. In April, 1963, he married Frances A. Rosenkrans of Hannibal, Mo., and one child was born to this marriage. Mr. Leedom is survived by his daughter, Brenda Jill Leedom of St. Peters, one sister, Mamie Shepler of Palmyra, one brother, Wilber (Neva) Leedom of Escalon, Calif., and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother in infancy and two sisters, Maxine Desso and Patty Olsen. Mr. Leedom was a graduate of Green City High School and spent his life working in the printing and computer programming business. He retired in 1995. Russell was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 241 of St. Charles, Mo., where he was a Past Master; the Scottish Rite of St. Louis; York Rite Chapter No. 111, where he was a Past High Priest; York Rite Council No. 40; and York Rite Commandery No. 73. Russ was also a member of Moolah Shrine Temple of St. Louis and Past President of Daniel Boone Shrine Club of St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren County, Missouri. He was a member of the Baptist Church in Green City.
