Loving husband and best friend of Karen S. (nee: Bernat) Ermeling; devoted father of Scott, Michael (Marissa) and Matthew; proud grandfather of Hannah and Blake; son of Orville and Evelyn; dear brother of Barbara (Hugo) Leimkuehler and Vernette (Wayne) Ehlmann; dear uncle, son-in-law, brother-in-law, cousin and friend to many. Russ was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and former Sexton at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. He was a former member of the Ushers Club, Men’s Club Softball Team, and St. Charles Association Baseball Coach. He loved hunting, fishing bowling and golf. He was a current member of the National Wild Turkey Federation. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and worked for Didion and Sons Foundry for 33 years.
