Ruth Rogers (1930-2022) of St. Charles, Missouri quietly passed from this life on Friday, April 29th, 2022. She was born on May 19, 1930 in St. Louis, Mo. She leaves behind a loving husband, Robert, of nearly 70 years, four children, Kevin Rogers (Simona), Karen Horne (Milton), Keith Rogers (Michelle) and Kathy Mejia (the late Sam), 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and one sister, Rana Seal. She is remembered as a wonderful wife, loving mom, helpful sister, fun grandmother, and blessed great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Amanda Repke, stepmother Rosa Repke and brothers Clarence, John, and Fred Repke.
She was a long-time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Charles, MO, where she committed her life to worship and service, especially as a leader in the youth program. In addition, Ruth and Bob worked together to coordinate a Sunday morning coffee and donut fellowship hour.
Ruth’s family remember her as one who loved to get the whole family together and sought any occasion to do so, where food, laughter and the latest family news were all on display. Fun was always on the agenda be it a scrabble game, a jigsaw puzzle or a game of wiffle ball. She also shared the responsibilities for the success of the Rogers’ dairy queen businesses and for years (especially the lean ones) actively contributed as the bookkeeper, encourager, money manager, and co-pilot always at the rudder along with Bob.
Ruth’s funeral will be Tuesday, May 10th at 11 a.m. just 19 days shy of her 92nd birthday, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will be at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, May 9th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Baue Funeral Home, 3950 West Clay, St. Charles MO 63301.
