Ruth G. Alexander (nee Schaffner) of Saint Charles, MO, passed away at the age of 89 on Saturday, October 31, 2020.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of sixty-five years, Robert Alexander Sr. Ruth is survived by her children, Robert (Vickie) Alexander Jr., Mary (Mike) Smith, Kathy (Jim) Ferrell, Debby (David) Cunningham, and Donna (E.J.) Junge.
Also surviving are her grandchildren, Bobbi Jean (Jason) Murphy, Jeff (Deana) Alexander, Danny (Elizabeth) Smith, Tom (Tara) Smith, Chad (Jennifer) Ferrell, Heather (Rustin) Peterson, Kaitlyn (Nick) Jayne, Christine (Anthony) Nanney, Amanda (Eric) Hill, Joe (Stacey) Stuecken, Andrew (Jina) Stuecken, Jessica (Craig) Yeager, Chloe Junge, John Junge, and McKayla Junge; her twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Sue Holterman, Mary Mcnally, and Clarence Schaffner.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, John and Lydia Schaffner; her son, Billy Alexander; two brothers, Jimmy and Johnny, four sisters, Dorothy, Tootie, Helen, and Kay; and her great-grandson, Cole Ferrell.
Along with her husband Robert and her children, Ruth founded Lami Wood Products/Signature Kitchen and Bath in 1976. Ruth was a talented seamstress who enjoyed taking up her various projects and producing beautiful things by hand. She had a love for QVC where she acquired many shoes, clothes, makeup, and jewelry. Above everything, Ruth enjoyed the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and truly treasured the memories they were all able to make together over the years. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

the American Heart Association.
