Ruth C. Orf

Ruth Constance Orf, (nee Eilers) of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at the age of 91. Loving wife of almost 68 years to Dallas C. Orf; beloved daughter of the late William H. and Marie M. Eilers; devoted mother of David F. (Joyce) Orf, Marie M. (Gary) Deabler, Karen L. (David) Rogers, Thomas A. Orf (dec),  John J. (Mary) Orf, and Gary J. (Shelley) Orf; dear sister of June (Jim) Dickbernd; cherished grandmother of eleven; and treasured great-grandmother of seven. Ruth was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Ethel (John) Simon, Helen (Lawrence) Bextermueller; two brothers, William "Bill" (Berdell) Eilers Jr., Charles (Marian) Eilers.

Ruth was a member of St. Ann's Sodality at St. Peter's Church and Birthright. She was an avid creative sewer, embroiderer, and quilter. She loved gardening and planting flowers. Ruth enjoyed baking and decorating as well as going to the casino and playing the penny slots. She was a big fan of St. Louis Cardinals baseball. She liked to listen to talk radio and had a strong Catholic faith. Ruth loved her family more than anything in the world. Ruth was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
