Ruth G. Altemeyer

November 20, 1922 — October 9, 2020

Ruth Gottwald Altemeyer (nee Schroeder), of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Friday, October 9, 2020 at the age of 97. Loving wife of the late Wilbert Bill Altemeyer; beloved daughter of the late Anton and Frieda Schroeder; cherished aunt of Carol 'Cookie' (Rocky) Rockwell; treasured godmother of Sherry Niehaus; and is also survived by her wonderful neighbors, Mick and Will. Ruth was also preceded in death by her sister, Bernice Wiegers.

Ruth was a woman full of faith and was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Charles, MO. She was very generous, kind, and always dedicated her time to looking after others. Ruth was very close with her sister, Bernice and together, they enjoyed their time travelling and making many memories. Ruth was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Ruth's name to Immanuel Lutheran Church Music Fund.

The family invites you to meet them at the graveside at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. There will be signs posted for guidance.
