She was born March 22, 1925, to Austin F. and Flora Bates in Halsey, Nebraska. She was a homemaker. She is survived by one son, Michael A. Hunter of St. Peters and sisters, Betty Anderson of McMinnville, Oregon, Jeanne Brooks of Cozad, Nebraska, Lois Hughes of Nashport, Ohio, Kay Etherton of Cozad, Nebraska, Cheryl Nespor of Milford, Nebraska and Joan Waugh of North Platte, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Russell M. Hunter of St. Peters, her brothers Ernest Bates and Austin E. Bates, both of Halsey, Nebraska and sister Kathy Ristine.
