Ruth Matilda Buettner Muegge Nolle

Ruth M. Nolle, of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023, at age 96. Daughter of the late Emma and Louis Buettner; beloved mother of Frederick David Muegge (Sarah); loving grandmother of Brian Muegge (Caroline) and Beth Muegge McGee (Ian); dear sister of her late siblings Charlotte Bruere (Theodore), Margaret Luetkemeyer (Warren), Wilbert Buettner (Eleanor), Kenneth Buettner (Helen), Earl Buettner (Helen), and Melvin Buettner (Mary Frances); Ruth was preceded in death by her first husband Fredrick Muegge and also by her second husband Harold Nolle.

Ruth earned a Bachelor’s degree from Lindenwood University. She was a Registered Nurse and served in hospital, office, and public health settings, with retirement from the St. Louis County Public Health Department. She was an avid reader, Scrabble player, enjoyed playing bridge, and gardening. Ruth stayed active physically with line dancing and in later years walking and stretching exercises. Ruth was a woman of great faith, and a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

In lieu of flowers, friends may choose a charity of their choice.

Celebration of Life Services and Visitation will occur on Thursday, March 9, at 1:00 pm (Central time) in the Multipurpose room of Breeze Park Retirement Center, 600 Breeze Park Drive, Weldon Springs, Missouri. Pastor David Stratmann will officiate.
