Ruth South

South, Ruth of St. Charles, MO passed away on August 17, 2015 at the age of 90.   Ruth was the dear mother of Pam Carissimi and Paula (Vandy, devoted son-in-law) Thomsen;  cherished grandmother of Michael Carissimi, Tracy Carissimi, Brandon Thomsen and  Jaimi Thomsen; and dear Aunt to many nieces and nephews and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Lafie and Gracie Senevey, husband George A. South, precious daughter Phyllis A. South and her two brothers Buell and Harold Senevey.

Ruth was born in Chamois, MO on July 15, 1925 and moved to St. Charles, MO with her family in the early 1950’s. She was an active member of many organizations in her community but closest to her heart  was Community Living, Inc., where her daughter, Phyllis, participated in many activities.  She was also very active in her church, Gateway Church of the Nazarene in Bridgeton, MO — formerly Overland Nazarene Church where she leaves many fond memories and dear friends. Prior to joining the Nazarene church, Ruth was a founding member of Calvary Church in St. Charles, MO.  She loved her work as the Assistant Administrator of Delmar Gardens West in Chesterfield, MO and Administrator of Lake Charles Retirement Center in St. Charles, MO.
