Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers in Ryan's Memory to Families of SMA c/o Baue Funeral Home, 3950 West Clay, St. Charles, Missouri 63301. Hawn, Ryan Michael, of St Charles, Missouri, died on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at the age of six months and one day. Loving Son of Christopher M. and Jennifer L. Hawn, Cherished Brother of Charlotte Ann Hawn ; Adored Grandson of Valorie Davidson, Stephen Davidson, Stephen and Teresa Hawn, and Great-Grandson of Pauline and Ronald Pool, Orlie and Iona Davidson and Clara Crutchfield; Beloved Nephew, Cousin, and God Son. Ryan was a playful little boy. Some of his favorite activities were "dancing" with Mom and Dad, being sung to while helping him move his arms and legs, playing with his sister, Charlotte, and playing with his toys in his bouncy chair. He loved to smile and raise his eyebrows to anyone who was near and was always looking around the room, paying close attention to who was talking and what was happening. He never missed a thing. If you looked into Ryan's eyes, you could see the strength of his spirit and the depth of his wisdom, even at such a young age. In the time he was with us, his life impacted countless others. We have been told by many that he has made them appreciate their own blessings. He has also helped raise awareness about Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Ryan is in Heaven, waiting and watching over our family. He has always been God's angel, lent to us here on earth for such a short while but for such a huge purpose. He has given us all a greater understanding of what love is. Ryan will be our baby forever and his memory will be with us forever. We will celebrate his life here on earth, but more so the Eternal Life he now has in Heaven. He is full of life and vibrance, now more than ever... He has a voice, can breathe deeply, can move freely and now has no limits. He has been renewed. We miss you Ryan and will be patiently waiting for the day we are reunited.
