Samuel G. Johns III

Samuel G. Johns III, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of the late Johannah Johns; eldest son of the late Samuel G. Johns, Jr. and the late Marie T. Johns; devoted father of Patricia Baumann, Deborah (Mark) Hohenshell, and Cynthia (David Havens) Marsala; loving grandfather of Elizabeth (Nathan) Delcour, Cherie (Aaron) Mohr, Dustin Koetter, Austin Hohenshell, Giana Markley, Landon Markley and Parker Baumann; treasured great-grandfather of Garrett, Johannah, Jack, Abigail, Judah, and Lydia; dear brother of Terry (Craig) Griffin and Michael (Mary Beth) Johns.

Samuel proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He excelled at mathematics, and loved doing puzzles, crosswords and trivia. Samuel also treasured the companionship of his beloved rescue dogs, Rosie, and the late Stir Fry. Samuel was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorial Contributions be made in Samuel's honor to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, The USO, or Immanuel Lutheran Church.
