Samuel Everett McPeak Sr., of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023, at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Shirley M. McPeak; devoted son of the late Samuel Alexander and Bertha McPeak; loving father of Amanda (Jeffery) Warren and Samuel E. (Christi) McPeak, Jr.; cherished grandfather of Sabrina (Diego) Tuttolomondo, Samantha Diehl, Sarah McPeak, and Matthew (Heather) McPeak; precious great-grandfather of Vincenzo Tuttolomondo, Isabella Tuttolomondo, Evelyn Diehl, Emma Diehl, Tyler Johnson, Madison Johnson, and Jameson McPeak; dear brother of Hazel Williams. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Etta Alred, and his two brothers, William McPeak and James McPeak.
Samuel proudly and honorably served in the United States Army stationed in Germany. He was a dedicated member of the Town and Country Gun Club in Marion, Illinois. Samuel was involved in the early days of the Space program with McDonnel Douglas. He was proud to have worked on the Mercury and Gemini Capsules and Skylab Program.
Samuel was married to his wife, Shirley, for 68 years. He was a loving family man who enjoyed spending time with his children, grandkids, and great grandkids. Samuel was very passionate about antique furniture restoration. He would design, build, and refinish pieces. Samuel was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Samuel's name to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
