June 13, 1943 — November 9, 2021
Sandra Hankins, of O Fallon, MO, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at the age of 78. Beloved wife of Marshall Hankins; devoted mother of Scott (Melissa) Hankins, Phillip (Izzy) Hankins and Amy (Blake) Tilley; loving grandmother of Eileen, Daniel, Brett, Oliver, Simon, Quinn, Eli, Calvin and Lyriel and great-grandmother of Sage; dear sister of Peggy (the late Lawrence) Prade; Mother/Aunt to Shannon Rivers and Aunt, Cousin and dear friend to many.
Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, Jack Brown and Maxine Brown and her brother, Jack (Nancy) Brown.
Sandra was a dedicated teacher at Pattonville School District for many years. She spent her summers teaching pottery at Camp Thunderbird in northern Minnesota. She belonged to many organizations throughout her life, including Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Jobs Daughters, Eastern Star, Alpha Xi Delta, Sweet Adeline Choruses and high school and college marching band. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved nature. One of her favorite hobbies was playing her piano. The most important thing to her was her family and she dedicated her life to caring for them. Sandra was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
