Born February 7, 1927 in Scranton, PA, the son of the late Joseph and Angelina Doria. Survived by his beloved wife Virginia “Ginny”; dear daughter Cynthia Doria; stepsons Carol Underwood (the late Brenda) and the late Terry Hopper (Sharon); stepdaughter Sheila Korte (Tim); grandchildren Scott Korte, Jennie Raithel (Matt), Bryan Hopper and great grandchildren Alexis and Violet Raithel, sisters Anne Melchiorre (the late Ralph), Florence Lucibello (the late Robert), Mary Lembo (Willie), Christine Doria and the late Grace and Lou Crapelli, mother-in-law Ester Hitt, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends too many to mention. Sante retired from Alvey, Inc. after 40 years of employment. He was a graduate of the Rolla Schools of Mines and Engineering. He was the youngest 1st Sargent in the Army, 88th Infantry Division, stationed in Gorizia, Italy during World War II. His love for golf kept him a member of the Lake Forest Country Club for 23 years. He leaves behind family members and special friends who will never forget his generosity and caring ways. His wit, charm and humor will be cherished memories by those who were blessed in knowing and spending time with him. His joy for life, whether it be music, dancing or a wonderful meal with his family and friends, will be missed by all who knew him.
