Shannon T. McPherson

Shannon T. McPherson, passed away Monday, January 10, 2022, at the age of 66, after a short battle with cancer. He was born on September 15, 1955, and he was a longtime resident of St. Charles, Missouri. The beloved husband of Sara A. McPherson (nee Garner) for 39 years; cherished father of Jennifer (Paul) Ostrander, Nicholas McPherson, Valerie (Dan) Sutton, and Ian McPherson (Amber Porter); loving grandpa of Alyssa (Anthony) Thieret, Kyle Cummings, Madalynn McPherson, Abigail Sutton, and Charlotte Ostrander; dear brother of Lueann (Mike) Langley, Sarah “Suzy” (David) Hollenberg, and Bob Glover. Shannon was preceded in death by his parents, Donald McPherson and Betty (the late Gene) Strunk. He is also survived by his stepmother, Sherry McPherson. Shannon was a loving brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend. Shannon was a simple man with a sweet, kind, and gentle sentiment about him. He was passionate about spending time with family at his house, especially for BBQs and just hanging out. He especially loved going to watch his grandchildren in their extracurricular activities. Shannon also enjoyed vacations with his family to the beach, as well as his intimate trips with his wife to Tybee Island and Maine. Shannon loved music, and his favorites were the Beatles and Jethro Tull. He also enjoyed watching baseball, football, and other sports. In his younger years, bowling was his Friday night activity, and he was on several bowling leagues throughout his life. Shannon was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
