Sharon L. Geurkink

Sharon L. Geurkink (née Spande), of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Wayne F. Geurkink; devoted mother of Shawn (Patty) Geurkink, Jill (Rodney) Reiman; loving grandmother of Hannah (Charlie) Hente, Claire Geurkink, Caleb Reiman, Alyssa Reiman; dear sister of MeiLan (Jeff) Haehn; beloved aunt, sister-in-law, and friend to many.

Sharon was a long-time member of Living Lord Lutheran Church - Lake Saint Louis, MO, where for many years she enjoyed hosting her weekly bible study group. Sharon was unequivocally a selfless person, with a generous heart; usually putting the needs of others before her own. She began her career as an elementary school teacher, but after having her children, she devoted her time to being a full-time homemaker. While caring for her family she also taught tole painting lessons in her home. She channeled her creativity into her painting, writing her life stories and posting her daily thoughts, sharing them as gifts for the enjoyment of others. Sharon’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Her love for her husband was unquantifiable. She spent countless hours attending her children's and then her grandchildren's events and activities. They were her pride and joy. Sharon was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
