Sharon M. West
October 28, 1947 — June 6, 2022
Sharon Mary West (nee Doerper), of Dardenne Prairie, Missouri, passed away Monday, June 6, 2022 at the age of 74. Loving wife of Jerry West; beloved daughter of the late William Doerper and the late Elsie Marie Seimer; devoted mother of Richard (Lori) West, Scott (Lisa) West, and Kevin (Pam Scarborough) West; cherished grandmother of Joshua Gibbs, Anthony West, Megan West, Tyler West, Jarred West, Collin Fitzsimmons, Hailey West, Mason West, Gabriella West and Lillian West. Sharon was a graduate of Riverview High School, where she met her true love, Jerry. In the 70s and 80s, she worked as a police officer for St. Louis City PD. As a self-educated entrepreneur, she started her business at a young age. And, with her love of animals, especially dogs, she successfully grew her business of dog training throughout the St. Charles and St. Louis area. Family was most important to Sharon, and she was very active with her sons’ school and sports. She was a member of the PTA and attended all of their sporting events. For their birthdays, her sons became King of the Day with the tinfoil crowns she made for them, and she cooked their favorite meal, which was the best! She looked forward to family vacations in the summer, and going camping, fishing, and hunting with them as well. She also enjoyed traveling with her dogs, especially to England, and taking trips with her husband to Bermuda, Mexico, and Tahoe. Sharon was a great woman of faith, and a member of Immaculate Conception Dardenne for many years. She was always involved with church through volunteering and serving. She was an Alderman for Dardenne Prairie for many years and was very influential in the growth of the town. In her younger years, Sharon did competitive dancing and even danced with Jimmy Durante. She was a lady in charge and always knew what she wanted. She will be remembered for her love of family, passion for animals, and warm heart for all. Sharon was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Memorial contributions may be made in Sharon's name to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or Golden Retriever Foundation. Baue Funeral Homes is currently following CDC recommendations regarding mask and social distancing policies.
