SSG Shawn M. McCauley
June 30, 1966 — July 24, 2015
McCauley, Shawn of Wentzville, MO passed away on Friday, July 24, 2015 at the age of 49. Shawn is the loving son of Robert and Marie (NEE: Mallinger) McCauley; dear husband of Kara McCauley; devoted father of Nichole M. (Robert) Holmes, Kevin P.M. McCauley, Skylar and Brendan O'Neill; cherished grandfather of Keagan Holmes; beloved brother of Erin (Molly) McCauley and loving grandson of Carrie Mallenger. Shawn was also a dear nephew, cousin and friend to many and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Myron Mallinger and paternal grandparents Earl McCauley and Louise Dill.
Staff Sergeant McCauley was proudly serving in the United States Army Reserve at the time of his passing. He served two tours during Operation Iraqi Freedom and was awarded two bronze stars, one with Valor for his service to our country.
