Sheri Lee Clayton

July 29, 1946 — September 28, 2018

Sheri Lee Clayton (nee Couture) of St. Charles, MO, passed away peacefully at home on September 28, 2018, surrounded by her family, at the age of 72. Beloved wife of Garry Clayton; cherished daughter of the late Robert D. and Priscilla W. Couture; devoted mother of Jennifer (Don) Lovelady; loving grandmother of Donnie, Haley, and Collin Lovelady; dear sister of Peggy (Michael) Black; and treasured sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Sheri was a very giving and loving person, always outgoing and ready with a hug. She was very proud to be celebrating 50 years as a Registerd Nurse. Helping patients with loving care and compassion was important to her. She was also a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church and Long Term Care Educators where her favorite time was collecting gifts for Marines Toys For Tots. Sheri also taught CNA students at St. Charles Community College helping them pursue their careers in healthcare. Most of all, Sheri treasured her time spent with the grandchildren. Her lake home at Mark Twain Lake was her favorite place to take them boating and fishing. She always said that being at the lake was her happiest place to be. Sheri was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Sheri’s name to St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital.
