Sherman Russell Hoffman

Sherman Russell Hoffman of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019, at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Deborah Hoffman, whom he married on November 11, 1961, in Evansville, Illinois; cherished son of the late Russell and Phleta Hoffman; devoted father of John Hoffman, and Jeff Hoffman; loving grandfather of Mitchell Rawson, Emilee (Kaleb) Redmond, and Mackensie Hoffman; treasured great-grandfather of  Mia Redmond. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Sherman is also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Baldwin.

Sherman served his country with honor in the United States Army. He enjoyed Cardinals baseball and many types of sports, and he was very good at playing cards. Sherman also loved to grow and eat his own food from his vegetable garden. He was gentle, caring, soft-spoken, and kind. Sherman was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
