Sheryl Lynne Finkenstadt (née Van Etten), daughter of the late Theodore Van Etten and the late Valerie Sousa, died on February 27, 2013, at her home in St. Peters, MO, at the age of 70. Survivors include her husband, Dr. William R. Finkenstadt; her six children: Andrew (Carol) of St. Charles, MO; Victoria (Alexa) of Peoria, IL; Kathryn of Redmond, WA; Timothy (Katia) of Moreno Valley, CA; Thomas of Kettering, OH; and Patricia of Phoenix, AZ; her grandchildren Edward, Matthew, and Virginia; her half-siblings Victoria, Timothy, Sarah, and Jorgine; her stepfather, Vic Sousa; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her brother Jonathan. Sheryl was a Rehabilitation Counselor with Catholic Social Services. She was very involved with Catholic Charismatic Renewal and Marriage Encounter. She was an active member of the American Contract Bridge League and St. Louis Bridge Center. Sheryl's dedication, kindness, thoughtfulness, and generosity will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
