Shirley Asbridge of Keller, Texas was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 10, 1933. She entered the gates of Heaven on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at the age of 87. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother/great grandmother and loving friend to all that knew her.
Shirley was a retired Registered Nurse of 16 years and gave guitar lessons for 40 years. She had an unwavering faith in God and led countless bible studies helping all who attended to understand God’s word.
She was an avid reader of all topics especially ancient history. Loved to travel the world with family and friends, always teaching us something along the way. One couldn’t enter her home without the smell of some foreign dish she recreated from memory and the sound of good old folk music playing in the background.
Shirley is survived by her children, Scott (Debbie) Asbridge and Rebecca Palmer; her grandchildren, Amber (Mike) Soots, Ashley Forsythe, Paris Asbridge, Nick Asbridge, and Alaina Palmer; and her great-grandchildren, Madison Soots, Caleb Soots, Ashton Soots, and Hadleigh Forsythe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Beulah Anderson; her husband, Donald Asbridge; her son, James Asbridge; her granddaughter, Lauren Asbridge; and her son-in-law, Richard Palmer.
Please join her family in celebration of her life on Friday August 20,2021 at 12:00pm, memorial at 2:00pm.
