Shirley A. Payne

Payne, Shirley Anne (Richey) of O’Fallon, MO, died Thursday, February 18, 2016, at the age of 78. Beloved wife of the late Larry C. Payne; cherished daughter of the late Lacie and Eva Richey; devoted mother of Ralph R. (Pam) Shoemake, Jr. and Diana (Pat) Brewer; loving grandmother of Jeremy (Jennifer) Shoemake, Joshua (Nicole) Shoemake, and Jessica (Jeff) Jones; treasured great-grandmother of Madison, Hanleigh, Breanna, Colton, Addison, London, Presley, and Harper; dear sister of Tom (Beverly) Richey, Jan (Bob) Potthoff, Joan (Dana) Smith, Jean Farran, and the late Charlie Richey; cherished sister-in-law of Elaine Richey. She is also preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Ralph R. Shoemake, Sr.

Shirley liked sewing and quilting, and enjoyed square dancing. She loved gospel music, and was devoted in her faith.  She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
