Shirley Ann Nunn

Shirley Nunn of Saint Charles, MO, passed away at the age of 84 on Friday, August 21, 2020. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert R. Nunn, her daughter, Jana S. Nunn, and her parents, Paul and Mildred Bain McCarver.

Shirley is survived by her son, Bobby Nunn, her grandson, Michael Sweeney, her son-in-law, Kenneth Wrzesinski, and her siblings, Sue McCarver Goodrum, Perry (Betty) McCarver, Judy (Jerry) McCarver Potthoff, Mike (Jo) McCarver, and Liz McCarver.

Shirley was born in New Madrid County, MO, and lived in the Dogwood Community. After graduating from High School in East Prairie, MO, Shirley attended college at Cape Girardeau State, and achieved a Teaching degree in education.  Shirley taught school in two rural elementary schools before marrying her husband, Robert, in East Prairie, MO, and moving to St. Louis.

Shirley worked as a realtor at Coldwell Banker Gundaker and retired from there after a successful career spanning over thirty years. People were drawn to Shirley’s generous and caring personality, and she enjoyed many friendships during her lifetime. For fun, Shirley liked traveling and making memories with friends and family.  One of her favorite vacations was traveling with her sisters to California. She also enjoyed trying her luck at the casino. Shirley was a beloved sister to all her siblings, and there was always a special place in her heart for her many nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
