Shirley Jean Boyer of Winfield, Missouri, passed away at the age of 85 on Monday, February 15, 2021. Shirley was a loving wife of 57 years to the late James Lee Boyer, Sr., and daughter of the late Margaret and Basil Dennett. Shirley is survived by her son, James L. Boyer, Jr. (Laura Overmann); her daughter, Pam (Tony) Fallert; granddaughter, Kelly Fallert; grandson, Christopher Fallert; step-grandson, Brennan Overmann; brother, Richard Dennett and his wife Mariellen; and her sister-in-law, Carol (the late Robert) Dennett. Shirley was also preceded in death by her sister, Doris (Louis) Puder.
Before starting a family, Shirley was a secretary at Mallinckrodt in St. Louis. Later in life she worked as a secretary for the Winfield School District for 22 years.
More than anything, Shirley loved her family and cherished the memories they made together over the years. She always looked forward to the family vacations at the Lake of the Ozarks.
Shirley was happy, outgoing, and lots of fun to be around. She enjoyed going shopping and to the salon to get her hair and nails done. She looked forward to watching the Cardinal games on television with her husband Jim. Many remember her beautiful smile and loved listening to her laugh. Shirley was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Shirley's name to
Immaculate Conception Church Old Monroe or the
