Shirley Jean Courtney

Shirley Jean Courtney (nee Oldenburg), of Charlotte, NC, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the age of 69. Loving wife of the late D. Mark Courtney; beloved daughter of the late Ralph F.A. and Marie Oldenburg; devoted mother of Jeffrey (Keitt) Courtney and Sara Courtney; cherished grandmother of Abigail Courtney and Mark Courtney; dear sister of Edith (the late Stan) Beumer and Betty (Larry) Kluesner; daughter-in-law of JoAn Courtney; sister-in-law of David (Catherine) Courtney; and is also survived by nephews, nieces, many cousins and dear friends. Shirley is also preceded in death by her father-in-law, Donald Courtney.

Shirley loved gardening, sewing, antiquing, and refurnishing furniture. Family was dear to Shirley and spending time with her grandchildren was very important to her. Shirley was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Shirley's name to Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
