Shirley A. West

Shirley A. West (nee DeGonia), of O'Fallon, MO, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of 57 years to Ralph West; cherished daughter of the late Oscar and Viola DeGonia; devoted mother of Robyne (Jackie) Westmoreland, Amy (Darren) Starzyk and Michael (Susan) West; loving grandmother of Shaun Fitzgerald, Michael West, Jr., Amanda (Justin) Easley, Ashley (Michael) Isenberg, Bryce Starzyk, Camden Starzyk, Erika Starzyk, and the late Heather Fitzgerald; treasured great-grandmother of Luke Fitzgerald, Alexandra Easley, Jacob Easley and Benjamin Isenberg; dear sister of Rita Joyce Harris, Dennis DeGonia and the late Oscar DeGonia, Jr.

Shirley was a devout Catholic and member of Assumption Parish. She proudly and honorably served her country in the United States Navy. 

Shirley loved going to the theater and seeing shows at The Muny and The Fox; she always had season tickets every year. In her free time she enjoyed shopping, especially for shoes, clothes and jewelry and was always dressed to the nines. Shirley was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Shirley's name to Alzheimer's Association, American Heart Association or Masses. 

The family has asked that you come in your brightest clothes to honor Shirley.
