Sidney “Sid” E. Branson

Sidney E. Branson, of St. Charles passed away on Friday, June 10, 2011 at the age of 78. He was born on May 2, 1933 to Sidney and Bertha (Roark) Branson. He is survived by his wife Beverly (James) Branson of the home, also by daughters Gail Branson of Los Angeles and Sandra Branson of St. Charles, granddaughter Jessica Rush and sisters Freda Bryan of Bellfower, MO, JoAnn Wolfe of St. Charles and Reatha Siegler of Belle, MO. Preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Billie Sue Rush, brothers James Branson, Charles Branson, Clayton Branson, Clifford Branson and a sister Vaneda Branson. Sid grew up in Linn, MO and graduated from Linn High School in 1950. He served in the Air Force from 1952 until 1966. He was a letter carrier at St. Charles Post Office. He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and served as a Sunday School Teacher and a Deacon there. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
