Centorbi, Simon "Si" J., of O'Fallon, Missouri, died on Thursday, December 25, 2008, at the age of 85. Devoted husband of Dottie Centorbi; dear son of the late Frank and the late Catherine Centorbi; loving father of Tom (Patty) Centorbi and Denny Centorbi; cherished grandfather of Derek (Katie) Centorbi and Chad (Aimee) Centorbi; treasured great-grandfather of Tyler, Alex and Christian Centorbi. He is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Frank Centorbi, Walter Centorbi, Catherine Rehfuss, Dorothy Mock, Virginia Merlo, Marie Thomas, Charles Roth and Lorraine Unland. He was the President of Southern Cross Lumber & Mill Work for 31 years and was a member of the VFW, Knights of Columbus, Veterans Administration, St. Cletus Parish and was the Director of Mark Twain Banks. He was a life member and past Director of the Home Builders Association where he was awarded the Achievement of Excellence Award. Si is a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII who served in the 8th Armored Division, 80th Tank Battalion, Headquarters Company. He will be sadly missed by many friends and family.
