Stanley A. LaFavor of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away at the age of 96 on Saturday, June 5, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Gladys LaFavor; and his brother, Neil LaFavor.
Stanley is survived by his beloved wife, Nadine LaFavor; his children, Bobbie R. LaFavor, Terry A. (Maryann) LaFavor, Kent S. (Cari) LaFavor, and Sheri S. (Richard) Sabbert; his nine grandchildren; and his six great-grandchildren.
He lived a full life filled with love and great accomplishments. He was a WWII veteran, a brilliant engineer, a fantastic story-teller, and, most importantly, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He had a clever sense of humor, an infectious laugh, and a soothing speaking and singing voice. For years, he sang in church choirs, and he sang to Nadine every night. They met at a ballroom and danced often at home, even without music.
He was married for seventy years, and Nadine referred to him as her “knight in shining armor.” Equal partners in life, she held his hand until the end.
He followed Jesus and lived his life by faith - in actions as well as words. His family will miss him tremendously, but we are at peace knowing that he is with his Father in heaven now.
