Stephanie Marie Welch, of O Fallon, MO, passed away Friday, January 7, 2022 at the age of 39. Beloved wife of Chad Welch; precious daughter of Paula Smith and the late Stephen Smith; daughter-in-law of Phil and Gina Welch; loving owner to her sweet dog, Garth; dear sister of Brad Smith, Ben (Maribell) Smith and sister-in-law of Corey Welch and Jennifer Welch; loving aunt of Emerson Smith and Caleb Welch.
Stephanie had a giving, compassionate heart and dedicated her life to caring for others. She graduated from Francis Howell High School in 2000 and went on to graduate from Lutheran School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. She dedicated ten years to St. Mary's Hospital and was currently working at St. Joseph Hospital West. Stephanie had a contagious smile and personality that would light up a room. She enjoyed reading and loved all things Harry Potter and Star Wars, especially Chewbacca, which was her favorite character from the series. Stephanie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Stephanie's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
