Stephen J. Bynum

Stephen Jay Bynum, of Wentzville, MO, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the age of 81. Loving husband of the late Janet Bynum; beloved son of the late Jay and Marjorie Bynum; devoted father of Stephen M. (Karen) Bynum and Kathy (Mike) O'Connell; cherished grandfather of Emily (Austin) Berry, Patrick (Havanna) Bynum, and Erin O'Connell; dear brother of Sally Thomas and Judy (Ron) Truax. 

Stephen was a hardworking and generous man. He was proud to have been a member of the painter’s union for over 60 years. His life was centered around his family, for whom he did everything. A passionate sports enthusiast, he loved college basketball, the St. Louis Cardinals, playing horseshoes, and spent time in a bowling league. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, making memories along the way. 

Stephen never met a stranger, effortlessly making friends wherever he went. He had a deep love for the beach and the water. Known for his charm and kindness, he was a constant source of support and encouragement for his children and grandchildren. 

Stephen was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
