Stephen Otto Gerke

Stephen Otto Gerke, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at the age of 77. Beloved husband of the late Sally Jo Gerke; cherished son of the late Otto H. and Jessie Mae Gerke; devoted father of Adrienne C. (Mike) Day, Jessica L. (Erin) Nuesse, and Stephanie P. (Dan) Suszko; loving grandfather of 7 with one on the way; dear brother of Michael R. (Kerri) Gerke; treasured uncle, brother-in-law, cousin, and friend.

Stephen, a proud member of M.A.P.T., was honored with inductions into both the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame and the William Jewell Sports Hall of Fame, having been part of the 1968 NAIA National Championship-winning William Jewell baseball team. A man of faith, he attended First Baptist Church of St. Charles and found joy in playing golf, softball, and hunting. Stephen was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Stephen's name to the American Heart Association.
