Steven B. Sanders

Steven B. Sanders, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the age of 65. Loving husband of 36 years to Debra (nee Zibrowski) Sanders; beloved son of Shirley (nee Martin) and the late Ralph Sanders; devoted father of Kate (Phil Kraft) Sanders, and Christine Sanders; cherished grandfather of Vivian Kraft; step-grandfather of Declan Kraft; dear brother of Susan (David) Dunn and Scott (Cathleen) Sanders; brother-in-law of Dennis (Cheryl) Zibrowski, Dawn (Tim) Mysliwiec, David (Yvonne) Zibrowski, and Doug (Beth) Zibrowski; treasured uncle of Emily, Matt, Olivia, Chloe, Jaimie, Amanda, Marie, Matt, Amy Jo, Sara, Heather, Philip, Jon, and Megan; dear friend to many.  

Steve was a member of the American Legion Post 312 Sons of The American Legion, First Capitol Lions Club – St Charles, and First St Charles United Methodist Church. He graduated St. Charles High School in 1975 and went on to attend Missouri Southern in Joplin on a baseball scholarship. He played baseball in high school, college and EMBA and was a proud supporter of the American Legion Baseball program. Steve worked as an insurance agent and sold fireplaces before joining NOA medical as a sales representative, where he eventually retired in 2020.  He loved being surrounded by family and friends and always found a reason to entertain, most often in his backyard where he could be found drinking a cold beer by the pool.  Steve was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
