Beloved husband of Mary Trouton (nee: Andrews); loving son of the late J.B. and Regina (nee: Kjar) Trouton; devoted father of Kathryn Elena Trouton; dear son-in-law of Clara J. Andrews. Loving brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and dear friend to many. Captain Trouton was a 1965 graduate of Normandy High School, a graduate of Southern Police Institute of Louisville, Kentucky and Traffic Management Institute of Warrensburg, Missouri. He held a Master's Degree in criminal justice. He served 7 years as a police officer with the City of Ferguson before coming to St. Peters. He was the first St. Peter’s officer to obtain a bachelor’s degree, the first to earn a master’s degree and served as St. Peter’s first Police Juvenile Officer. Captain Trouton served in the Illinois National Guard. He was an avid model train collector and enjoyed classic cars.
