Steven Michael Taylor Jr.

Steven Michael Taylor Jr., of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024, at the age of 38. Beloved husband of Kelsey Taylor; cherished son of Deborah and Mike Taylor; son-in-law of Lisa and Keith Colley; devoted father of Audreyana Stout, Benjamin Taylor, and Aleah Taylor; dear brother of Melissa (Brian) Peters and brother-in-law of Katie, Jacob (Mandie), Jessie (Collette), Karmen, Lucas; and close friends, the Turpen family; loving uncle of Michael Peters and many other nieces and nephews; dog dad to his beloved Nala. Proceeded in death by his late nephew, Joe Michael Peters, his uncle, Arthur Buerk, Jr., and his loving grandparents, Martin and Gloria Taylor and Arthur and Doris Buerk. 

Steve was an energetic, fun-loving, and strong person with a competitive spirit who brought laughter and care to those around him. He cherished time with his family and found joy in gardening, canning, 3D printing, and playing video games. Steve raised chickens, loved camping, and enjoyed being out on the water. He enjoyed attending Cardinal and football games. Steve enjoyed wearing fun tshirts and had one for every occasion. 

A graduate of Southeast Missouri State, Steve received his bachelor's in computer science. He was a proud member of Sigma Chi, where he formed lifelong friendships. He then went on to get his master's in cyber security from Webster U. He embraced new experiences, staying active throughout his life. In his youth, Steve liked building websites and taking computers apart to put them back together. He was also an active Boy Scout and encouraged his son to follow in his footsteps. He played sports and instruments as a child and maintained a passion for speed and adventure. Steve passed this down to his children by keeping them busy with video games, Legos, and countless adventures. Steve was a devoted father, always ready with an answer to his children’s questions, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
