Stewart Kenneth “Kenny” Johnson

September 27, 1923 — March 7, 2019

Stewart Kenneth Johnson of St. Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019 at the age of 95.

Stewart, known to all as “Kenny”, was a wonderful person and a true gentleman. He was the only son of Thomas and Inez Johnson and devoted and loving husband to Gloria Johnson (nee Brown). He was also a dear brother of the late Thomas R. Johnson and brother-in-law of Ruby Arlene Brown; adored uncle of Byron R. Johnson; and treasured friend of Rich and Vicki Konopka, and many others.

During World War II, Kenny served his country admirably in the Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe. He was a decorated B-17 pilot and after his enlistment became involved in Honor Flight. After the war, Kenny returned home to continue his working career at Sears and Roebuck Company. During retirement, Kenny and Gloria enjoyed a wonderful time together traveling many places together in the United States.

Kenny was a wonderful and devoted family man. He was a son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He will be missed by many who became better people for having the pleasure to have known Kenny.

Memorials may be made in Stewart's name to the Arthritis Foundation or charity of Donor's Choice.
