Susan M. McGraw (nee Utlaut), 55, treasured mother of Kelly A. Amienne, generous mother-in-law of Daniel H. Foster, and wonderfully loving grandmother of Oona P.F. Foster-Amienne. Sue is also survived by her parents Norman and Dorothy Utlaut, two sisters Sandra Utlaut and Sarah Flanagan, and two brothers Ronald Utlaut and Norman Utlaut, Jr. In her many years as a nurse and in other healthcare roles, she cared for many people, touched many lives, helped make easy the journey beyond life for some and gave many more years of life to others. She was a lifelong learner who took every opportunity to explore new ideas and she was deeply invested in education. She earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from St. Louis University, a Master's degree in communications at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, and an MBA from Washington University. Her pride and joy was her granddaughter. And she had a kind and sympathetic heart for all animals, especially her faithful dog and walking partner, Abby. She will be sadly missed even as she lives on in our hearts and in our memories.
