Susanne E. Fogle

Susanne E. Fogle of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed Friday, February 2, 2018, at the age of 70.  Dear daughter of the late Harold Fogle and Geraldine Maxon (nee: McIlvoy); devoted mother of Adam D. Fogle; and beloved companion of her canine, Ella.

Susanne managed and operated her own company, St. Charles Driving School, where she taught many young adults to drive responsibly on the road.  For many years, she also wrote a weekly column, titled “Animal Tails,” which documented her love for nature and animals. She was a liberal-minded woman, and a strong democrat who enjoyed politics.  In her quiet moments, in addition to writing, she enjoyed reading mysteries, nature books, and political humor.

Susanne had an avid love of animals, especially dogs, owning many throughout her life.  She loved visiting the zoo and seeing all the animals in their habitats.  She also loved horses and enjoyed horseback riding.  She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
