Suzanne H. Sandridge (nee Holthaus), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Monday, March 9, 2020 at the age of 77. Beloved wife of 55 wonderful years to Jack Sandridge; cherished daughter of the late John and Miriam “Peep” Holthaus (nee Achelpohl); devoted mother of Jon (Hideko Nishihara) Sandridge, Ph.D., Rich Sandridge; loving grandmother of Misaki Sandridge-Nishihara and Takumi Sandridge-Nishihara; dear sister of Christine (Richard) Warner; treasured aunt of Sarah (Steve) Fort and Phillip (Tiffany) Warner.
Suzanne was a longtime member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, where she was also active in the Choir. Suzanne was a longtime educator as well, having spent many years of her life teaching in Mokane, MO and in the St. Charles School District. She divided her years there between Willie Harris where she taught 1
st grade, Our Savior Lutheran Church Preschool, Lindenwood Kindergarten, and served as an Elementary Substitute teacher of the St. Charles School District. Suzanne was a Cub Scout Den Mother and Den Leader Coach when her boys were young, and in her free time she enjoyed quilting. One of her proudest achievements, however, was her generous twenty year service to the St. Louis Zoo as a Docent, where she was fondly known as the “Snail Lady.” Suzanne was very outgoing, happy, and so friendly that she never met a stranger. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Suzanne's honor to the
St. Louis Zoo.
Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 all visitations will be limited to 50 guests.
