Dear husband of the late Isabel Machens; dear father of Toni Schaeffer (Norbert), Kathy Travers (Daniel), and Jim Machens(Mary); dear brother of Luke Machens, and the late Francis and Richard Machens, Dear Grandfather of 10,great-grandfather of 12 Mr. Machens was a life-long farmer in Machens, St. Charles County. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, Soil & Water Conservation District, Knights of Columbus, U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and was supervisor for North County Levy District.
